Commissions
Commissions are available in several capacities. You can commission an original painting, a collection of paintings for a store, or a collection of other home goods. For example, a recent client commissioned a collection of hand-painted ukuleles that she then sold in her rental properties (and that served as decoration in the meantime). Whatever your vision, I enjoy working with you to bring it to life.
I believe that paintings have their own special energy. I love helping you transform your vision or your favorite people or place into a painting for your home. Whether it is a family portrait, individual portraits of your children, a favorite vacation spot from childhood, the view on a local drive, your dream beach view, or your own current backyard, I love to translate your special people and places into colors and shapes of paint on a canvas.
The process goes like this: Get in touch via the form below, and we can discuss your painting desires via phone or email. I can share available start dates with you, and once you pay the 50% deposit, we will have a starting date on my calendar. Between then and the start of the painting, you will share with me a series of photos of the location you have in mind. I will choose several that offer the best composition from an artistic standpoint, and you can offer feedback, or choose your final option. I will send you a basic sketch and you can either approve it or offer suggestions. Together we will discuss the palette. I will periodically send you photos, and you will have a chance to change any colors, tones, or other details. If necessary, for the landscapes, I love to do one or several watercolors just to hep narrow down the composition.
Together, we will create your dream piece of art! This is a special journey that I love to go on with clients. I like to dedicate a lot of time to each piece, as I am fully committed to creating something you will LOVE. For this reason I only take a set number of commissions each year.
Commissions begin at 8x8 and can go up to any size
