A Pair of roseate spoonbills flying; the Everglades original native pink bird. Roseate spoonbills mate in pairs and forage in flocks. One of my favorite creatures to spot in the wild!
I paint in oils because they are natural earth materials. When possible I incorporate some of my own handmade paints into my pieces. I love how this makes a piece truly "of" the location we are painting.
