I painted this “plein air”, meaning outdoors on location, in the Florida Everglades Big Cypress National Park

The beauty of the wide expanse of grasses, the ever changing sky, the steadily moving waterways, and the lily pads, never gets old to me. Did you know the everglades literally means "river of grass" and are incredibly clean freshwater? There is a special feeling to being out here, and it is not unlike being out on the far reaches of cape poge.
